Court Overturns $8 Million Verdict in 'Walking Dead' Stuntman's Death

An appeals court in Georgia reversed an $8 million award in civil damages to the family of a stuntman who fell to his death on the set of “The Walking Dead” after finding the man was an employee and not an independent contractor. John Bernecker in July 2017 died performing a stunt where he fell about 21 feet from the top of a building for an episode of the AMC zombie drama.
