Survey: 33% of Employees Believe Workplaces Prioritize Productivity Over Safety

A National Safety Council survey of 2,000 workers in various industries across the nation found that 33% of employees believe productivity is prioritized over safety at their workplaces. That percentage is higher among those in high-risk industries such as construction (60%) and agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting (52%), the fields that yield the most occupational deaths each year, the council found.
