DWC Disciplines Doctor for Billing Violations

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation placed on its list of disciplined physicians a psychologist who it says improperly submitted bills under the Medical-Legal Fee Schedule. Norman Reichwald in 2013 and 2014 billed Zenith, Travelers Insurance and Tri-Star Risk Management for medical-legal services despite not being selected as an agreed medical evaluator or qualified medical evaluator, according to the accusation attached to a Jan. 23 disciplinary order.
