The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation will issue interim recertifications to designated doctors and physicians who perform maximum medical improvement and impairment rating exams, the division said in a bulletin this week.
Because of social distancing and business shutdown protocols, the DWC in late March suspended testing, training and application requirements for those doctors hoping to be recertified. Now, the division will offer the temporary certifications for doctors whose certifications expire between March 27 and Aug. 31 and who have no relevant practice restrictions.
