The U.S. Department of Labor is allocating $1 million in training for mine safety and emergency preparedness, according to a release from the department’s Mine Safety and Health Administration.
Funds for the training and materials will be distributed through grants ranging from $50,000-$250,000. In order to be considered, applicants must be a private nonprofit company and submit their application through this website by Aug. 29, 2015.
