Data released by the federal Office of Workers' Compensation Programs show that U.S. Customs and Border Protection warehouse officers and Veterans Administration nurses have filed more COVID-related comp claims than any other type of federal worker.
The data was sent in response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by WorkCompCentral in June. The report, sent Friday, shows that workers listed as customs warehouse officers for the Department of Homeland Security filed more than 600 claims because of the virus from January through June 10.
