Two federal regulatory agencies have released a "Hospital Respiratory Protection Toolkit" outlining steps medical facilities should take to protect employees from airborne diseases and hazardous chemicals.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health released the toolkit on Thursday as a set of suggestions for hospitals that are required by regulation to establish respiratory protection programs, according to a press release.
