The Hartford Net Income Up 15% in 3rd Quarter

The Hartford on Friday reported net income of $438 million in the third quarter, a 15% increase from $381 million in the same period last year. The Hartford said $272 million of its net income in the quarter came from commercial lines, up from $211 million in the third quarter of 2015. The Hartford reported $1.67 billion in written premiums for the third quarter, up 2% from $1.64 billion in the prior-year period.
