Employers Holdings' Net Income Drops 8% in 3rd Quarter

Employers Holdings reported net income of $22.6 million during the third quarter, an 8% decline from $24.5 million in the same period last year. For the first nine months of 2016, Employers reported net income of $51.9 million, up 10% from $7.2 million in the prior-year period. Employers, based in Reno, Nevada, reported $163 million in written premiums during the third quarter, down 2% from $166.5 million in the prior-year quarter.
