Bill Would Require Hearing to Close Case, Stenographic Records of Proceedings

New York lawmakers introduced legislation that would require hearings before any final decision to close a case. Bills introduced in the Senate and Assembly Wednesday would also clarify that records of all hearings must be “stenographic.” Senate Bill 4161, by Sen.
