A meta-analysis of more than 100 studies on occupational fatigue showed that sleep loss and poor working conditions tend to cause workplace fatigue most often. University of Colorado at Boulder civil engineering professor Matthew Hallowell and his colleagues performed the meta-analysis as the first step of a two-year study on fatigue among people who work on power lines.
