Study Estimates PEOs Employ 2.7M to 3.4M Workers

Annual revenue to professional employer organizations has grown from $136 million to $156 million and the industry now employs 2.7 million to 3.4 million worksite employees for 156,000 to 180,000 employer-clients, according to an economic analysis commissioned by the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations. The study by McBassi & Co. estimates that there are between 780 and 980 PEOs in the United States.
