The Texas Department of Insurance announced that it suffered a data breach involving the web application that manages workers’ compensation information. “The types of information that may have been accessible include names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, parts or all of Social Security numbers and information about injuries and workers’ compensation claims,” the department said in a statement.
