The Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Commission announced that its board of directors declared a $94 million dividend for 2020 that will be distributed to about 20,000 businesses in the state.
“With this dividend, LWCC has now returned over $1.028 billion over the last 18 years to Louisiana businesses,” the commission said in a statement.
LWCC said that as a mutual insurer it is able to focus on financial strength and stability, allowing for a strategic risk and investment approach designed to maximize dividends.
