Alliant Acquires Vertus, Expands Global Benefits Capabilities

California-based Alliant Insurance Services announced the acquisition of employee benefits company Vertus, based in Chicago.
Founded in 1994, Vertus provides services that include medical and prescription drugs, dental, life, disability, absence management and voluntary benefits. The firm also has a global benefits practice that supports businesses with overseas operations.
Mike Malouf, managing principal with Vertus, will join fellow principals Dan Papajcik and Dan Yost, and the entire Vertus team at Alliant.
Vertus will continue to service its growing client base from its headquarters in Bannockburn, Illinois.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Alliant Insurance Services, headquartered in Newport Beach, California, provides property and casualty, workers’ compensation, employee benefits, underwriting, surety, and financial products and services to clients throughout the U.S.
