DWC Adopts Teledentistry Rule Changes

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation has adopted amendments to the agency’s telemedicine and telehealth regulations in Rule 133.30.  The amendments conform to Texas Occupations Code Chapter 111, which the state Legislature amended under House Bill 2056 to define “teledentistry dental service.”   Occupations Code §111.001(2-a) defines “teledentistry dental service” as a health care service delivered by a dentist, or a health professional acting under the delegation and supervision of a dentist, acting within the scope of the denti...
