A workers’ compensation insurance provider has denied hundreds of bills from medical providers by citing incorrect sections of California's Labor Code to claim any request for payment made more than 30 days after the date of service is invalid, a national billing firm says.
In blogs posted to its website Tuesday and Wednesday, Daisy Bill alleges that Zurich has inappropriately and deceptively denied payments on more than 700 bills worth more than $370,000 that were supposed to be paid to medical providers.
