A new version of a bill to restore impairment rating evaluations in Pennsylvania’s workers’ compensation system cleared the state House of Representatives on Friday after Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf agreed to a compromise with Republican lawmakers.
The House on Thursday amended House Bill 1840 to add a provision that would allow claimants to receive lifetime benefits if an IRE rates their disability at 35% or greater, instead of the current 50%. On Friday, representatives voted to approve the measure 115-80.
