Maine lawmakers have approved an initiative by Gov. John E. Baldacci to stagger the length of the terms served by members of the state Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) in the second phase of a reorganization that began in 2004.On April 16, Baldacci signed LD 2318, which calls for six of the seven board members to resign, effective March 1, 2009.
