The Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission has extended emergency coronavirus procedures for in-person hearings and pro se settlements through the end of January.
Pro se settlement agreements may be reviewed by an arbitrator without an in-person appearance, as long as affidavits are submitted and a video or telephone conference is held, the commission said in a bulletin.
