The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation announced a 6% rate cut for private employers that will take effect July 1.
The BWC said the reduction its board of directors approved Friday follows a 7% cut for private employers last year.
Private employers have received 16 rate reductions over the last 17 years, the agency said. Average rates for the combined 258,000 private and public employers in the state are the lowest in 60 years.
