A New Jersey mail carrier is accused of receiving more than $150,000 in federal workers’ compensation benefits as a result of failing to disclose outside employment during a five-year period, federal prosecutors announced.
Monique Gee, 38, said she sprained her knee June 1, 2016, while working as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Over the next five years, Gee allegedly submitted reports indicating she had no outside employment and was not self-employed while receiving workers’ compensation benefits.
