Revised Rules Define Refund Process for Lien Fees

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation is accepting public comments on new language added to its proposed lien filing fee rules that details when fees will be automatically refunded.Senate Bill 863 requires the payment of a $150 filing fee on any lien submitted after Jan. 1, 2013, or the payment of a $100 activation fee before any lien filed before the start of the year can be heard during a lien conference.
