A Colorado state Senate committee unanimously voted to indefinitely delay a bill that would have created a COVID-19 presumption for essential workers.
The Senate Appropriations Committee voted 10-0 Wednesday to halt Senate Bill 216, which would have covered essential workers who catch COVID during the next two years.
SB 216 was authored by Sen. Robert Rodriguez, a Denver Democrat.
Just two days earlier, the bill narrowly passed the Senate Finance Committee by a 4-3 vote.
