Worker Can Recover Balance of Medical Bills From Employer as 'Reasonable' Costs

The Delaware Superior Court ruled that an injured worker was entitled to recover the amount of his outstanding balances from his employer as the “reasonable” cost of treatment for compensable injuries. In 2015, Richard Quaile was working for the TBC Corp. when he suffered injuries in a fall from a ladder. He filed a workers’ compensation claim, which TBC denied. TBC then terminated him.
