The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced that Amazon will pay a $145,000 penalty and implement a company-wide ergonomics program as part of a settlement that resolves citations issued in 2022.
OSHA said 10 cases alleging ergonomics violations at 10 Amazon facilities were set for administrative hearings over the first six months of 2025. The settlement resolves all allegations related to those cases, OSHA said.
The agreement requires Amazon to ensure that ergonomic requirements are implemented at its fulfillment and sorting centers and at delivery stations.
