The turbulence that has come with air ambulance billing practices for the past decade could subside somewhat if a deal struck in Congress becomes law.
The measure could also lead some states to revise their workers' compensation fee schedules in order to accommodate a section that would peg air ambulance fees to a “benchmark rate” and allow mediation on price disagreements.
