Barrett Business Services Inc. announced Tuesday it has reached an agreement with Ace Group to provide workers’ compensation coverage for BBSI employees in California beginning in the first quarter of 2014.Under the agreement, BBSI will retain the risk of loss up to the first $5.0 million per claim. Ace will assume the risk for all costs above $5.0 million per claim as well as the credit risk should BSSI be unable to satisfy its indemnification obligations to Ace.The arrangement with Ace addresses the requirements of California Senate Bill 863, which limits BBSI’s self-insurance pr...
