Reed Group Launching Formulary Based on ACOEM Guidelines

The Reed Group said Monday that next month it will launch a drug formulary based on American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine practice guidelines.

Senior Vice President Joe Guerriro said Reed's is the "only formulary within the workers’ compensation arena with therapeutic agent recommendations tied specifically to work-related injuries and illnesses as well as the phase of care, either acute or chronic."

Reed Group said Dr. Robert Goldberg, chief medical officer for Healthesystems, worked with Dr. Kurt Hegmann, editor-in-chief of the ACOEM Practice Guidelines, to develop the formulary.

The Reed Group said it will include the formulary as a tool within its MDGuidelines product in November.
