Arch Capital Group Net Income Falls 75% in Q4

Arch Capital Group Ltd. has reported net income of $53.1 million for the fourth quarter of 2015, a 74.6% drop from $209.7 million for the 2014 fourth quarter. Net income for the full year 2015 was $515 million, down 36.5% from $812 million for 2014. Gross premiums written were $1.03 billion in the fourth quarter, compared to $1.07 billion in the prior-year quarter. For the full year, gross written premiums were $4.66 billion, down from $4.76 billion in 2014.
