Chubb Net Income Up 1%, Per-Share Profits Highest Ever

The Chubb Corp. on Tuesday reported net income of $601 million for the third quarter, up about 1% from $594 million in the third quarter of 2014. Net income per share increased 5% to $2.60 from $2.47. Chubb said it was the highest net income per share for any quarter in the company's history. The third quarter combined loss and expense ratio was 83.3% in 2015, compared to 85.8% in 2014.
