The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division on Wednesday said it would resume mailing proof of coverage orders and issuing quarterly proof of coverage penalties.
The division in April suspended issuing automated proof of coverage orders, as well as associated civil penalties, due to the impact of COVID-19. Historically, when there is an indication that an employer is insured but the division does not have proof, it will send an order requesting the insurer to file evidence of coverage.
Carriers that don’t comply with the request can be fined $250.
