The Florida Supreme Court has agreed to suspend a south Florida plaintiffs' attorney after the state bar alleged that he engaged in widespread misrepresentation, delays and the filing of multiple lawsuits on the same insurance policy.
Coral Gables attorney Scot Strems has been ordered to accept no new clients and to stop representing current clients for at least 30 days, the court's order reads. Strems must also refrain from making withdrawals and disbursements from the firm's trust accounts.
