DWC Announces Fraud Charges Against Three Attorneys, Two Law Firms Accused of Overbilling

A grand jury returned indictments against three attorneys and two law firms that allegedly were paid more than $900,000 for work that they didn’t do, the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation announced. The first round of indictments names as defendants Leslie Casaubon, Roger Farahmand and the Langford, Wise and Farahmand Law Firm in Dallas. Indictments allege Casaubon and her staff billed the DWC’s attorney fee processing system between July 1, 2017, and Aug. 31, 2019, for work they did not do.
