Golden Eagle Founder, Mabee, Dead at 80

John C. Mabee, who built up Golden Eagle Insurance Co., died late Wednesday night from the effects of a massive stroke he suffered 4/14. He was 80. Mabee, was also a horse breeder and longtime president of Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in San Diego, CA. and was well known in the horse racing world.
