U.S. Risk Insurance Group announced Wednesday that it has acquired Boston-based Matias Underwriters and and has named its founder, Glenn Matias, as national practice leader and vice president for the company's Workers’ Compensation Division.
Matias will manage the Boston, Dallas, Houston and Sarasota, Florida workers’ compensation divisions of the Dallas-based insurance wholesaler. Those offices write primary and excess workers' compensation policies in all 50 states.
