Another year, another veto threat.
That seems to sum up the state of affairs for some Democrat-supported workers' compensation bills that passed the Illinois General Assembly this year.
But with Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner trailing in the polls in his bid for re-election, some Democrats are now taking the long view, hoping that even if Rauner shoots down some measures this year, they'll be primed for a new governor's signature next spring.
