Bill That Would Allow 911 Dispatchers to File PTSD Claims Moves Toward Finish Line

A Colorado bill that would allow emergency dispatchers and other employees to file claims of post-traumatic stress disorder for overhearing traumatic events is one step closer to becoming law. The state’s House Business Affairs and Labor Committee unanimously passed Senate Bill 26 on Tuesday. The bill, authored by Democrat Rhonda Fields, of Aurora, will now move to the floor of the Colorado House of Representatives for a vote.  The state Senate previously approved SB 26 by a 30-2 margin.
