A former Texas hospital manager who pleaded guilty to bribery charges in 2018 has been sentenced to more than five years in prison, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Alan Andrew Beauchamp pleaded guilty in August 2018 to paying health care bribes and committing commercial bribery, the DOJ said.
Beauchamp, who managed the now-closed Forest Park Medical Center in Dallas, helped coordinate a $200 million scheme that directed patients with high reimbursing, out-of-network private insurance to the hospital, the DOJ said.
