Jury Hits Safeway with $2.65 Million Verdict on Retaliation Claim

The law firm of Rittenberg, Buffen, Gulbrandsen, Robinson & Saks on Wednesday announced that it has secured a $2.65 million verdict in favor of an injured worker on his retaliation claim against Safeway Inc.  The firm represents Rudolph Francek, who had worked for Dominick’s, a Safeway subsidiary. He claimed he injured his shoulder at work in May 2005, and again in January 2006. Dominick's denied these claims and requested that Francek submit to an independent medical examination.
