San Diego-based ICW Group Insurance Companies has developed a new computer platform for detecting fraud and suspicious activity in its policyholders’ workers’ comp claims, the company announced.
The so-called “Analysis Investigation Module” monitors data from new and existing claims and uses predictive analytics to identify potentially fraudulent claims.
To develop this fraud-fighting tool, the company assembled staff from a number of departments, including actuarial, planning and analytics, information technology and claims.
