Church Mutual Insurance Company has reported recording premiums for 2015 and record policyholder surplus at the end of last year.
The company -- the largest insurer of religious organizations in the United States -- also saw its lowest claims volume in nearly 30 years, which helped it produce a $58.1 million net income and an overall combined ratio of just 91.3%, although that was worse than the 88.7% combined ratio in 2014.
The company posted direct written premiums of $663 million in 2015, compared to $639 million the year prior.
