Report: City Sues Residents to Recoup Comp Costs for Injured Cop

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Wednesday reported that the city is suing two residents in an attempt to recover more than $190,000 in workers’ compensation benefits paid to a police officer injured in a car crash. The city is suing a driver who allegedly failed to stop at a red light in November 2017 before hitting a city police vehicle. The city is also suing the owner of the car involved in the crash.
