Failure to Disclose Liability Claim in Bankruptcy Barred Claimant's Suit

A federal appellate court last week ruled that an injured worker forfeited her ability to file a personal injury suit over an on-the-job accident since she failed to disclose the existence of her claim in her ongoing bankruptcy case. Helen Allen allegedly suffered serious and permanent injuries when a stool she was sitting on collapsed beneath her in October 2009.
