Insurers Might Seek Refunds on Payments to Chiropractor Banned by DWC

Texas workers' compensation insurers could soon be seeking reimbursement on thousands of dollars paid to a chiropractor who continued practicing after his license expired in October. The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation said that Eric Vanderwerff, of Irving, who has faced other disciplinary proceedings in recent years, billed for almost $43,000 in services after his chiropractor license expired Oct. 1.
