Deputy Commissioner John C. Schafer to Retire as Dispute Resolution Coordinator

The North Carolina Industrial Commission announced that Deputy Commissioner John C. Schafer will retire today after serving nearly 25 years as dispute resolution coordinator. Chief Deputy Commissioner Tammy Nance will serve as acting dispute resolution coordinator. Schafer led a series of changes in the mediation program that the commission said made the administration of litigated cases more efficient.
