The Oregon Division of Financial Regulation adopted a temporary order that will be in effect through October that excludes costs of COVID-19 workers’ compensation claims for experience rating.
The temporary order adopts the Aug. 16 revisions to the National Council on Compensation Insurance Statistical Plan for Workers’ Compensation and Employer Liability Insurance. In addition to excluding virus costs from X-mods, the updated NCCI plan also allows carriers to indicate that they did not audit a policyholder because of the outbreak.
