A chiropractor accused of running capping and billing schemes at medical mills in Los Angeles and California’s Central Valley, and a psychologist indicted on charges of paying kickbacks for referrals, have apparently reached a deal with federal prosecutors.
Woodland Hills chiropractor Bahar Gharib-Danesh is scheduled to appear at the U.S. District Court in Fresno on Monday for a change of plea hearing, according to court records. She pleaded not guilty to 15 counts of health care fraud and one conspiracy charge during an August 2015 arraignment hearing.
