Two New York taxi and transport company owners who ripped off workers’ compensation insurers and the federal Medicaid program pleaded guilty to fraud and conspiracy charges, the New York Inspector General’s Office announced Tuesday.
Arshad Nazir, 54, of Plattsburgh, pleaded guilty in federal court in Albany to conspiracy to commit health care fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States and paying health care kickbacks — all felonies, the office said.
