DWC Announces New Surcharge Rates, Effective Friday

The Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation adopted new surcharge rates and assessments that go into effect Friday. The division announced that the Workers’ Compensation Cash Fund premium surcharge is increasing to 1.4% from 1.34%. The DWC is increasing the assessment that funds cost containment programs to 0.03% of all premiums from 0.01% of all premiums. Finally, the division said the assessment for the Subsequent Injury Fund will be 0%, down from 0.1%.
